But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” – Acts 1:8

When we read the scriptures, we learn that Jesus after his ministry here on earth, did not leave the disciples lonely. He promised them that the father would send them a helper, a companion. This was because Jesus had giving them a great task and to be accomplish it, the disciples needed the help of the Holy Spirit.

Revival mostly implies that there is a fresh start with a clean slate, there is a new beginning of life in reverence to God Almighty.

Where there is a Revival, anything that prevents us from seeing ourselves as children of God is removed!

Where there is a Revival, fear disappears and the power given by the Holy Spirit comes upon a person and enables him to do exploits.

David after being confronted by Prophet Nathan about his sin, repented. He then prayed to God and said: Create in me a clean heart, O God.  Renew a loyal spirit within me.(Psalm 51:10).

The Bible says that all have sin and fallen short of the Glory of God. So we just like David, we are praying that the Lord should create in us a clean heart and renew his Spirit within us.

God is able to forgive us of our sins, he changes our lives and fill us with his with Spirt.

This week we are praying that God will fill us with his Spirit so that we are able to impact our generation and communities.

When the Holy Spirit came on the early Apostles, they prayed and miracles happened, they spoke and many repented! So, shall we pray and see the cripple walk, the blind seeing and the backsliders returning to lift up the name of the Lord!

Prayer:

Father in the name of Jesus, thank you for forgiving me my sins. I pray that you search through my heart and make me clean. I pray that you fill me with your spirit that I may be able to live a life pleasing unto your name. I want to impact my generation and continue to speak about you. Without your Holy Spirit, I am nothing. Please fill me with your spirit and use me.

Amen.
